My league had its annual draft the other night and what a night it was.  Everything fell into place just perfect, food, friends & beer!  This league is a money league so the players are all very knowledgable and borderline experts.  Being that most of us are financial analysts & controllers we are very savy when it comes to data gathering & analytics.  So you can immagine the spreadsheets that were flying around.  Still not every manager had a good draft some were just plain old bad, which is surprising but still it happens to the best of us.  I guess thats why we renamed the league:  BONEHEADS-R-US because some of us just are .

This is a 10 team PPR league, we start 1QB, 2RB's, 3WR's, 1TE, 1Flex, 1K & of course 1 Def.  I have the #4 overall pick.  The draft started out as expected LaDainian Tomlinson at 1 & then Adrian Peterson at #2, but then the first surprise of the draft at 3 Joseph Addai....remember this is a PPR league so I jump all over and quickly shout out Brian Westbrook!  I'm estatic!  The rest of the first round was all RB's as Frank Gore went at 5 then followed by:  Steven Jackson, Marion Barber , Clinton Portis, Marshawn Lunch & Larry Johnson.  I am still surprised to see that Brady & Moss were still on the board.  I'm not going to list out all the picks but this is how my team turned out I feel not only did I get the best value I also had the overall best draft and on paper I'm the team to beat check it out:

Brian Westbrook, Terrel Owens, Andre Johnson, Thomas Jones, Ben Roethlisburger, Earnest Graham, Brandon Marshall, LenDale White, Derrick Mason, Heath Miller, Eli Manning, Owen Daniels, New England Patriots, Neil Rackers & Chris Perry .  This team is balanced and has depth at RB & WR.  Oh boy I can't wait till the season begins.

Are you also a financial analyst or controller?  I tagged you as a favorite when you replied favorably to one of the replies that I wrote on a bulletin board thread.  I looked a little closer and hot damn!  Fantasy Football is similar to Texas Holdem in that heavy math with some real world intuition works out very well.  Congratulations on your draft... in retrospect, the team still looks really good.  Keep writing, I'm officially following your analysis now since I've marked you as a "favorite".
